英語の決定詞

名詞や名詞句を修飾して、名詞の方向性を決める品詞を決定詞という。

• 冠詞: a, an, the
• 指示形容詞: this, that
• 代名詞の所有格: my, your
• 数量を表す形容詞: each, all, many, much, no

決定詞は2つ並べることができない。each the apple や many the apple とはならない。冠詞を並べたい場合は of を入れて、 each of the apples や all of the apples となる。

例外的に all the apples は of が必要ない。
